Advantages: RELIABILITY, CHRONOMETER ACCURACY, THE ONLY WATCH WORN ON THE MOON
Disadvantages: EXPENSIVE, HEAVY
Moon Watch...originally known as the Speedmaster Professional. Now i bet most of you are thinking, why on EARTH is it called MOON Watch? Well, heres how it goes... 30 years ago on the night of 21 July 1969 at 02:56 GMT precisely, millions of T.V viewers were glued to their seats to witness the greatest human adventure. Neil Armstrong, the first human to walk on the Moon who became a legend and with him the OMEGA Speedmaster - the only watch EVER to have been worn on the Moon. And I my friends, luckily own one of these precious time pieces! No Im not that rich... actually a very dear friend of mine bought me one as a gift from America. He said the watch was going for a real bargain and thought it would be the perfect gift! Normally the price tags on this watch would be £1,500.00. Though I've got quite a bit of collection of Watches but this is the most expensive watch i have ever worn and I rarely wear this watch because its too precious and I've kept it safe for specail occasions. Specification Manual-winding chronograph movement (used on the Moon) which has been certified as a chronometer by the COSC (Official Swiss chronometer testing institute, Rhodium-plated finish, Power reserve: 48 hours, Black dial, Hesalite crystal, Stainless steel, Water resistance down to: 30 meters/100 feet, Tachymeter. This watch not only looks beautiful but its quite tough, Its water resistant to 30 meters which means you can wear it whilst washing your hands without worrying about getting the water in and the Hesalite crystal and the Rhodium-plated finish prevent any little scratches. Other than that, the watch itself is fairly big and heavy and can also be adjusted to your own wrist size by the retailers. My other favourite OMEGA Watch is the Speedmaster Broad Arrow with a price tag of £2,450.00.....errrmm, will somebody help me rob a bank???

- 14/08/04 Great op :-) . I really like Mondaine watches and was going to get one in Switzerland but couldn't find the exact one I wanted, am now wishing I'd just chosen one though because they're way more expensive over here! O. |
