A lovely, classy ladies' watch from a reputable Swiss watch firm.

I was very lucky to receive this watch as a wedding gift from my family, and my husband also received the matching men's version. My watch cost approx £950 and was bought from an authorised Raymond Weil retail outlet, although the design is a couple of years old now so might not be available everywhere. This watch is very classic in design, with a stainless steel thick bracelet with a chain style design, and a square face with dark background. The colour of the face background is almost a blackish-brown colour which is slightly 'waffle' textured rather than plain flat, and the whole effect is a nice subtle difference to the normal black or white faces you see. The face is set with 12 small diamonds to mark each hour on the dial, and there are no numbers, but it is easy to tell the time with the diamond markers, plus there are small lines above each diamond to accentuate the time. There is no date display on this watch, which I am fine with, as I usually tend to use my phone to check what the date is. The brand name of the watch is printed towards the top of the face and is quite clear to read but not too big to make it look tacky. The pin to turn the watch on and off is quite standard, and easy to operate. The clasp is very secure and easy to put on and off, although like other metal bracelets of this kind, you need to clip in one part before you can clip in the final part to secure the bracelet, as there is a little Raymond Weil 'RW' logo on the clasp, the side which needs to be clipped in last. (hope that makes sense!). It's quite easy to put on and off, which I find a problem with some other watches. The watch is a little heavier than other lesser expensive watches, due to the high quality materials used, but is still not too heavy for a delicate ladies wrist. What I really like about this watch, is that it's a reputable and expensive looking watch, and although it isn't as instantly recognisable as a Tag Heuer, Rado or similarly unique looking watch, those who know about good watch brands will know that you're wearing a high quality timepiece on your wrist. Although I don't wear it a lot, and keep it switched off when I'm not wearing it, it is very reliable and I have not had any problems with it. I love this watch, as it looks classy and expensive (without being too flashy), and smartens up your wrist and outfit in no time. It also goes really well with most outfits, which is great. As it was very expensive, and has personal sentiment involved, I only bring it out on special occasions like weddings, important parties or events etc, so I probably only wear it a few times a year! I wouldn't be able to afford a watch like this myself (or rather I could not justify buying something of that high value which isn't furniture or important for the house!) but I was very appreciative to receive this as a gift! Although I know it is expensive and I wouldn't be able to afford it myself, I will still give it 5 stars, only because there's nothing to fault with this watch!
