      A useful watch

As it was my Birthday a couple of months ago, it was a nice treat opening the various parcels given to me by family and friends. Trying to be helpful before the day I did write a list of things that I wanted, one such item being a white watch which I thought would look summery during my Birthday time of year. Lucky for me, I was given not one but two white watches on the day one of them being this Sekonda stone set bezel watch. The watch comes packaged in a neat little Sekonda black box which has a transparent lid enabling the watch to be visible inside. The watch is fastened to a small black cushion which provides a pad of protection inside the box when the watch is not being worn. Taking my watch out of the box, I liked the sturdy feel of it and the softness of the silicone strap which felt comfy on my wrist. The strap is white and silicone in material and features a textured design which looks from a distance like a linked strap. The strap is fastened using a traditional buckle and this is chrome in material and matches the overall look of the watch very well. There are a number of holes which are built into the strap enabling it to fit even the smallest of wrists, indeed I find that I have it on the second hole with the unused section of strap being folded neatly under a pair of loops. It is the face of this watch which makes it look special in my opinion, and had I not looked at its price online for the purposes of this review I would have thought it was considerably more expensive than it actually is. The face is round and white in colour and features a ring of crystals around the diameter which frame the face which measures 3.3cm across. On the face this watch is analog meaning that you can tell the time using hour and minute hands and these hands are chrome in colour and very delicate in size with a fine sweep hand to count the seconds. Imprinted onto the face are a series of chrome lines which are evenly spaced in a ring around the outside of the dial with which to tell the time. The lines are the only time indication for the watch with the only text being in the form of the italic "12" at the top of the clock and the "SEKONDA" text in the background. To the right of the face is a little chrome nub which when pulled away from the body of the watch enables you to change the time. Something I had to do when first received. Although I like the look of this watch it does lack many of the features that you might expect in a more expensive model. The watch is not waterproof but merely water resistant and although I didn't mind this fact it does mean that it cannot be worn in water something which I have to remember each time I go down to the beach. In addition there are no gismos in the form of illuminated hands or a countdown timer which I have found helpful in watches I have had in the past. Being silicone, the strap does have a tendency to pick up dirt and this does mean that it will need cleaning at some point in the future and Sekonda advise that this is done with warm soapy water. It is also advised that you are careful when applying perfume or tanning products around the wrists as these could stain the strap therefore I have to remind myself of this every morning. These small niggles being said however, I am really pleased with this watch and feel that the look and feel more than make up for the faults. The face looks and feels expensive and the white strap looks great against the tan of my arm. For this reason alone this watch scores an excellent four stars from me and does come recommended. This watch is available to buy from H Samuel and currently is on sale at £22.49 from its original price of £29.99. This makes this a bargain product in my opinion and one which I would certainly buy again. I hope this review has been of some help and thanks for reading! x This review is also posted on Ciao under the same user name.

        You'll never be late again!

After my last two watches broke and stopped working unexpectedly I wanted to invest in a watch that would go the distance. After reading reviews and seeking advice I exchanged my money for this little fancy number and so far it's still working and I'm very happy! DESIGN: The watch is of a silver colour, and the strap is your typical link design. I found that it was a little bit bigger than my wrist and I needed it adjusting but I took it into a jeweller and they were able to change it without a problem. The clasp is a little tricky but it's one that needs to overlap itself and be pushed down before it fastens. Once it's there though it sticks fairly well unlike some others where it can come undone easily. The face is easy to read. In the past I've always gone for watches that have the numbers clearly shown on the watch face but I thought I'd go for something different as this watch appeared to be more of an adult design than the previous ones I've worn. It took a little getting use to as if light is reflecting onto the watch face you sometimes have to tilt it to see where the hands are and what numbers they're overlaying as they're all different shades of silver. The battery is easy to replace as well, it takes standard battery watches which can be bought fairly cheaply if you shop around. I haven't had to change the battery yet but it seems that you just pop the back off and can easily take out and replace the battery as you would with any other standard watch. The only fiddly thing I can imagine encountering is that the strap will obviously get in the way as it's attached and as it's not a buckle strap there's no way to part it from itself like you would with a buckle strap. The time can be easily changed by using the little turning wheel that's on the side of the watch face. It works like most standard watches, you pull it out and twist! COST: I found the price fairly reasonable for such a stylish watch. I only paid around £21 for it from Amazon and with the name Sekonda attached to it I thought that was a good deal for what I guess is considered a 'designer' watch even though it doesn't automatically look like a designer watch. AVAILABILITY: As mentioned I found this watch on Amazon so I didn't have a problem with availability and I think there were a few still left on there if you do a search for it. I imagine jewellers and some catalog shops might have this in stock or something similar but ordering with Amazon wasn't a problem and the delivery was pretty quick as well. Overall this is a snazzy little watch for a lady and goes well with most outfits and will work for most occasions so you can't really go wrong! 4/5 dooyoo stars - one lost because I had to get the strap size changed.

          A great watch

==Sekonda Party Time Women's White Watch== I am a big fan of watches and love to have a new one. I was lured in to this range of watches by the adverts that were on TV. I am not sure which programme that they were sponsoring but it seemed I kept seeing the advert and it kept making me want one of the watches. The Party Time range from Sekonda is a range of the same watches but in a lot of different colours. The one which attracted me the most has got to be the white one because I believed that it would go with more of my outfits than getting a turquoise coloured on or one of the many other shades there were to choose from. I ended up buying the white one first and I went to H Samuel whilst I was out in town picking up a few other bits. They had it in their in a few different colours and they were all priced at £29.99 pence which I feel is a really good price for a watch from this brand and which looks so nice! When I tried the watch on it the store It fitted perfectly to how I like as I do prefer them to move around a bit so that they don't irritate my skin or get sweaty underneath in the summer. The links seemed easy to take out and it was on my wrist faster than you can say "bling". The main difference in this watch is that the strap itself is made of a silicone material and this makes the watch light and comfortable to wear. Not only does it feel as though you are not wearing a watch, it also makes it a good deal more durable. The watch is a lovely bright white colour and really seems vibrant. This seems to be made even more noticeable because of the ring of crystal type of gems which are embedded around the face of the watch on a ring of silver metal (which I only realised the other day spins around - for what reason I don't know or even if it is meant to!). The face of the watch is nice but the only down side I have is the numbers not being there (I like it simple) all expect the number 12. The dashes that are in the position of the numbers are however clear to see and I never have any trouble working out what time it is. The number 12 is in a really nice font though and it would have been nice if all the numbers were like this. This is a very small moan though because apart from this I don't have a problem at all with the watch. It came with a little battery already inside and as yet (6 months) haven't had to change it at all. I do know you can buy the batteries fairly cheaply but it will cost a fair bit more to go into a jewellers and have then replace it for you. Cheaper to do it yourself. The watch has always kept very good time even if I haven't! I found it easy to change the time when the clocks changed the other week by pulling out the silver turner on the right side of the watch and as with most watches this was very straight forward and simple. None of the crystals have gone a funny colour like some of the other watches that I own and the general look of the watch is still in a really good condition even though I have seemed to smash it about a fair bit (not intentionally but I am just clumsy!) There is nothing bad I can say about this watch and this is shown by the fact that I went back to H Samuel and bought a further two in different colours! So I feel that nothing less than a top score of 5 out of 5 stars is what this product deserves and I really high recommendation! Many thanks for taking the time to read. I hope that this has been of some help/interest to you.
