I first fell in love with Storm watches in 1998, when I saw a band member of my favourite group sporting the Storm Navigator. It would be nine years before I would own my own, but boy was it worth it!

Storm is basically a designer make of cool watches (they do other things but this review category is about the watches). They are typically futuristic designs, in brushed steel with blue faces. They are often large, chunky and impractical dress watches and the average one will set you back £100 easily, although some are just £60, all the way up to around £200.

The thing I like about these watches is the way the designs stand out as being different. They are so eye-catching I always spot them on people. They actually blend in with most clothing styles too, and their neutrality in that respect is very admirable.

The worst thing about them is that they don't cope very well with day to day use. Their bulkiness means they often bang or get caught on something, and this scratches the watch. The men's versions are even bigger and Andrew's is scratched to pieces. I tend to wear mine of a weekend or if we are going out which sounds extravagant but I wouldn't risk it.

Their biggest asset is that the range is always evolving, so you can get new ones all the time. Many people collect them because they are so cool.

If you like the sound of them then you might have to write a few reviews on dooyoo before you can buy them because of their hefty price tag. They also do some stunning and original jewelry which I have been tempted to purchase but just haven't had the money.

All in all, stunning looking but wildly impractical watches.
