“ Brand: Swatch / Watch for: Women „
As my title so eloquently says, well factually says anyway, for some reason Dooyoo have posted a totally random picture for this product, in fact it looks more like a men's watch than a ladies one and certainly bears no comparison to the Swatch Borbuletina watch that I own and purchased or £45 in a duty free store at the airport about two years ago.
The Borbuletina is a very feminine watch with a fancy clasp securing the metal strap to your wrist. The ends of the strap that bind onto the watch face are a lovely combination of silver and acqua blue colours infused with some sparkling crystals, it is a woven silver structure with inlaid blue enamel in the gaps which gives it a stylish look. At first glance it also looks a bit fragile as the remainder of the strap is a single link bracelet however I have not found that to be the case. The bracelet is also nice and shiny and the overall effect is quite stylish.
The one problem however is that the watch casing is plastic and that rather spoils the overall effect of the watch, it would have been much better in my opinion to have had a metal casing, even if that pushed up the price it would have been worth it as the watch would have looked a whole lot better and more consistent.
The watch face itself is a pale blue with a nice pattern replicating part of the strap in the lower right quadrant, the hands are white and instead of numbers there are six crystals set in the watch face to denote the position of the 12, 6, 2, 4, 8 and 10 numbers. Whilst you may not always read the time to the exact minute that is not an issue as the time piece like all Swatch watches is very accurate and I have never had a problem with it going slow other than when the battery was on its last legs and has now been replaced.
Overall the strap is lovely and very stylish however it loses one star from me because of the plastic case which sort of cheapens the look of the watch.
