“ Brand: Swatch / Watch for: Women „
I paid £35 for this watch which looking back is a bit of a bargain as it would sell for twice that amount these days as it is now hard to track down, I have owned mine for six years now and it is now on its second battery which is not bad as they usually only last a couple of years.
The watch is starting to show its age though. This is partly due to the design of the strap which is leather but with a textile covering. It is a black colour with glittering stars and comets on it and it is this pattern that has rather suffered the ravages of time, a couple of the stars have become falling ones and fell off and one of the comets looks rather depleted. When I first had the Swatch it was a cool design and one in a good condition would look great but mine has not aged well which is a shame.
On the plus side it is still very comfortable to wear and also because it is a skin design it is very light on my wrist as well. It is also still a very accurate time piece which is important in a watch, even a fashion one like this.
The watch face itself is contained within a clear plastic casing and again in keeping with the night theme it is black in colour. The watch face itself is a cool simple design, with crystals replacing the numbers and silver hour and minute hands. It is a nice stylish design that ages well.
Overall I have always been fond of this watch, one day I may get around to trying to track down a replacement strap however I expect that to be quite hard given the age of the watch.
