I was bought one of these for my birthday years ago and I still enjoy it to this day.
With it's digital interface and glowly display, this watch is perfect for kids and teenagers that need extra help with reading the time. I was bought this for school, and I could easily acknowledge the time without a second glance at the screen. The whole outer design of the watch; angular and square makes this an easy choice for retro-futuristic style, equating to a 90s look for adults and a space look for kids.
I personally feel that it's good for children's use as it is incredibly durable, going through an enormous amount of battering before it actually malfunctions or shows any physical damages such as scuffs and scratches. I spend 3 years of school and mountain biking with it strapped to my wrist and it still worked to this day.
My only problem with it is that the rectangular shape of the display can dig into your wrists when the wrists are bent upward, occasionally making bike riding and handstands uncomfortable.
Overall, I feel that this watch is the ultimate sci-fi accessory, perfect for kids that like the rough and tumble kind of adventure.
I bought this watch as a Christmas gift for my 10yo nephew and he was very pleased with it. Although described as unisex I think this is a good choice of watch for children, particularly boys as it is fairly cheap and has the quality to deal with how rough they can be as well as maintaining a look of good quality, it makes for a thoughtful gift!
It has a very attractive techno kind of look which suits children very well. It's very futuristic but still fun and playful and is just generally appealing in it's colours and beauty. The bright blue colour is also really appealing and looks even nicer in real life! It's definitely waterproof and works well even after contact in water.
It's reportedly comfortable round the wrist and doesn't pinch, bend, cause itch or sweating and isn't uncomfortable. The ridged sides make it comfortable and easy to put on and take off. It's made of a rubber material and is very soft and flexible.
The time is easily read and in general the digital screen is high quality and doesn't fade even in sunny conditions. Powered by a quartz battery, it even displays the date which is always handy. It also boasts an alarm feature which is always very handy for children in sch0ol!
I thought it was good value for what it was - I paid £25 which I think is more than reasonable. Very satisfied with the product and so is my nephew - I recommend this to anyone!
