Advantages: Neat design

Disadvantages: None yet

This water filter came free with the last kettle I bought, and I have to say it is really good, the best water filter I have had yet.

The Product
The jug is a fairly ordinary looking water filter jug, with a clear plastic jug part and a white lid. The jug fits together easily and it's quick to get the old filter out and the new one in. You know if the new filter is not in properly as the lid doesn't go on. It holds 2.5 litres, each is a good size for us and it fits nicely inside the fridge door.

Features
This feature has the best opening, top up flap I have seen. The other water filters I had all had slide across section so you could add the water from the tap, this jug has a flap, which is pushed down by the water when you turns the tap on, so much easier than the other filters, and it also seems to stop the build up of lime scale which got all around the sides of the sliding slap of the other water filters I had, and I would have to scrap it off with a knife.

Filtering
One cateridge lasts 60 days and I find it filters extremely well, leaving my kettle clean of lime scale - I live in an area which is very bad for lime scale so I am really pleased with the results. I can buy a pack of 6 filters off amazon for £13.20, which lasts me a year.

Price
Mine came with my kettle, but I just looked up the price and they cost about £18, so it's on the more expensive end of water filters. I think the filters are a little more expensive than others, and it's not possible to buy the supermarket's own brand filters, like it is with the Brita ones, as they just don't fit.

Washing
It all comes apart and is easy to wash in the sink. It doesn't seem to have any ridges where the lime scale gets stuck into like my last filter, which I am pleased about. It's no fun to have to scrap lime scale off with a knife.

Conclusion
A really nice water filter jug which filters extremely well. It's perhaps slightly more expensive than some others on the market, but I would say it is worth it.

Summary: Great design and makes water limescale - less
