Microsoft Lifecam VX-6000 ... bought this around christmas time this year and I was pretty sure it being microsoft that I was onto a winner. It was a little more expensive than other products with similar specs, but I payed for the brand name. I wasn t dissapointed when it arrived within 10 minutes I had it operational (most of that time was spent trying to get the package open). After another 5 minutes it was operational and I was on my way. Unfortunately I soon realised for some reason I could t seem to get the microphone to work. This didn t particularily bother me because I had another one anyway, but it was a litlle dissapointing to say the least. None the less I still use it as I bought it fo... Viewsonic Viewmate W5202 ... true 1.3 megapixel camera with CMOS technology of a webcam worth over £40 ....amazing value for money !! Bought this from Novatech originally but had to wait for it to come into stock as it sold like hot cakes !! It has face tracking technology just like it s more expensive cousins ......I am buying alot of them now as they are great presents for friends who have just got broadband and want to a have a web conference with MS Live Messenger or Skype ......... Trust Communicator Webcam WB-1400T ... My main gripe would be that the consists of a single page with basic instructions for installation (disc in and follow the on screen instructions). Also there is no real help file with the software but luckily it is very simple to operate. The technical specs (from the box) since Im sure these will make sense to someone somewhere. USB Webcam with 352*288 resolution (100k) Max video speed 30 frames per second System requirement Pentium 200MHz CPU 32 MB system memory 100MB free harddrive space Windows 98 SE (or newer) And now I hear you asking what was the cost of this item, well it was a whole £7.97 yup thats right less than £8.
