Microsoft LifeCam VX-2000:
... have been a user of Skype for a number of years now and have been looking for a new web cam as mine eventually gave up working. Prices have dropped a lot in the last two years so I was quite keen to go down to my local IT store and see what they had on offer. The Microsoft LifeCam VX-2000 was brought to my attention as it was priced well at just under 20 pounds but manufactured by Microsoft so you can guarantee goo... Microsoft Xbox Live Vision ... my opinion what was simply an attemot at the pre-released eye toy, microsoft released the xbox live vision camera...... As expected, microsoft released this single vision camera at a pretty heavy as, just like all their other accessories, it is the only one that will work with the console, but is it worth it? *Uses* The cam can be used on the xbox live service for such uses as taking a picture of yourself for use as your gamer picture, to have live video chats with your friends (using the xbox live service) and also can be used for the growing number of games which have linked compatibility such as viva pinata! *Specifications* The specs of the camera arnt great t... Microsoft Lifecam VX-3000 ... Since the late 90s at work, we have always used webcams to provide the photo identity for our ID cards. We have never had any preference to a particular make meaning we have tried 3Com, Creative and Logitech in the past. Now it was Microsoft s turn in the form of the Lifecam VX-3000. This camera was supposedly a middle of the range camera at its time of release, higher in spec than the VX-1000, but lower than the VX-6000. ===In the box=== Considering the size of this webcam and the fact there wasn t a user manual included in paper form, I found the box to be very bulky. In typical Microsoft fashion the box was big and bold and was definitely the... Read the full review: Microsoft Lifecam VX-3000 struggles to be a Live cam by Craggybuk |

Microsoft Lifecam VX-700 ... bought this webcam on offer so it cost me about £8 or £9, which I think is an adequate pricing for this product- I don t think it is worth the £15 or £16 it is selling for in Argos or Amazon at the moment. The main pull of this webcam above others though is that it requires no software- which is great for scatty people like me who often lose software CDs or if your computer is a bit old and doesn t get on with many newer programs. The webcam worked straight out of the box, all I had to do was plug in and play and it was immediatly recognised by my chat software. The webcam gently clips onto your laptop screen and although it might seem a little unsecure I tried moving... Read the full review: Technology for Technophobes by marnie_moo |
