... Not the most expensive, and was expecting to pay more, so was happy to go with this. The webcam arrived, had to install the software fromt he CD first then plug in during installation. Microsoft Lifecam Cinema ... first problem when receiving this through the post was its lack of compatability with macs. This didnt suprise me too much, but I was a bit dissapointed so I turned on my PC ready to get started. It was easy enough to get out of its packaging; no excess plastic that required endless cutting to get into so that was a bonus. I plugged it in, and within a minute my PC had installed required drivers and it was a case of clicking on the onscreen istructions and I had it all loaded up in less than 5 minutes! PC Line PCL 350k ... experience of webcams is fairly limited, but I m certainly very impressed with this little one from PC Line. As for ease of use, it is certainly a very good choice - just plug it in to a USB port, and that s it. Skype recognised it straight away, which meant no fiddling around with settings - always a bonus! It s got a nice long lead, which is always useful, and a good flat base which lets you move and twist the webcam around. However, there s no clip or anything for use with a laptop, which means you either have to rest it on the laptop itself or find a space for it.
