Broadband brings with it a whole new world of Internet. Online radio, VOIP (internet voice chatting) and video messaging are all now completely feasible. It was the latter two which prompted me to buy a webcam. A lot of my friends are not local to me and are spread throughout the world from England to Canada all the way down to New Zealand. Having family dotted all over the UK and beyond and regularly keeping in touch with them through MSN I thought the obvious next step would be a webcam so I could see their ugly mugs and them mine. I bought this web cam as my first, because it was sold on ebay for around £3. For that value, it is extremely good. It focuses well, not bad picture quality, and is perfectly adequate for msn web cam chatting. It sits ontop of a computer screen by folding in the rear leg, or can stand on a surface as shown the picture. In February 2004 I was looking for a low priced, good make webcam for my internet video chat via yahoo & msn instant messengers. I looked all over the web for a webcam with reasonable image quality, it didn't have to be perfect just good enough for my video chat so when looking I came accross this webcam and the price was £20 odd pound so I purchased it and when I received it and set it up I was very impressed. well this product is very good for its price and is definatly value for money, it provides a very good quality picture and works with alot of instant chat programs like msn messenger and yahoo messenger. i was happy with the price i paid, wasnt sure at the time - i'd seen some pretty cheap and cheap looking cameras but decided i would try this one, i bought it in dixons electronics store for £20 but i still wasnt sure what the overall cam quality was like till i tried it at home.
