D-Link DCS 1130 ... Equipped with its own CPU and web server, it can be accessed remotely from anywhere via the Internet, including 3G mobile devices.

The camera uses Wireless N technology, which offers more speed, extended coverage and virtually no dead spots whilst still being compatible with previous network standards. Unlike a web cam, it does not need a PC to be turned on.

The DCS-1130 can take snapshots and record video whenever motion is detected, or according to a user-defined schedule. You can activate two different video streams simultaneously, for example for direct viewing and recording. Recording directly to a local Network Attached Storage (NAS) device is possible without a dedicated PC.

The camera includes a software package, D-ViewCam 2.0, which allows you to view up to 32 cameras on a single computer screen at one central location. You can set up automated e-mail alerts for unusual activities that the camera detects.

This camera works well even in low-light conditions. It has a built-in microphone and includes a 16x digital zoom for close-ups.
