... a great idea! Watch TV on your computer. I grabbed this card when I saw it in the shop on sale. Got it home, shoved it in, and nothing happened! Getting anything tuned in from a portable arial was virtually impossible, and in the end I just made do with the video. The quality was pretty attrocious, but what do you expect for 50 quid? Happauge WinTV ... wanted a capture card which did the job, but without pricing me out of favour with my credit cards. Happauge was one of the cheaper ones, and I promptly bought it - mainly for capturing tv images. The only problems I had was setting up the audio - I had to purchase a scart to phono lead, and then another adapter for that, when the time came to want to capture sound! This was a bit of an inconvenience, but now it's all set up and working I love it! It's very simple to install the card, and the software is easy to use. ... Happauge WinTV ... have of late been witness to some very malicious bullying going on under this dooyoo malarky . One of their 'Guru's' no less , plus girlfriend have been stalking the opinions of a very dear friend of mine (who is an extremely NICE person ) and taking it in turns to slate her opinions and thereby lower her ratings . These two little egotists of course only ever get 'very usefuls' themselves and by the ream . Well I am past being impressed by clones that masquerade as human beings and I am extremely unimpressed by little bullies that direct attacks against people who they just don't like the look of . Happauge WinTV ... you need is a screwdriver and a small amount of common sense and you will have a working TV Tuner in your PC in no time at all. The instructions are clear and precise, but if you are like me and the majority of PC 'fiddlers' you will read that only if things are going wrong. It doesnt matter which you do, as it is as easy as putting in the card into a PCI slot, switching on the PC, putting the driver disk in the drive, telling 98 to look there for it, and clicking OK or NEXT a few times, and BINGO it is all done.
