The Kodak DC280 is a 2.0 Megapixel digital zoom camera. I purchased this camera on behalf of the company I work for and paid £350 for it about 3 years ago. At the time I purchased this camera I thought that it was pretty good value for money considering the ease of use and features it had. At that time 2.0 Megapixels was a pretty good picture quality, just shows how times move on with 8 Megapixel and better cameras now on the market! This camera has seen a great deal of service in the hands of the many staff members who have used it over the past 3 years, and has stood up to the abuse thrown at it! The camera is still in daily use here although it is a ... Read the complete review

I bought my DC280 in January 2001 – it was bundled with a Lexmark P11 colour printer, total cost £360. For that price I got: - Lexmark Pll colour printer - DC280 digital zoom camera - AC Adapter - Battery Charger - 4 * AA rechargeable batteries - battery charger - 4 * standard batteries (a nice touch as you are able to use the camera immediately while waiting for the rechargeable batteries to charge up) - 8MB memory card - serial connector - USB connector - Kodak software for windows and Macintosh Resolution - The DC280 has a maximum picture resolution of 2.3 mega pixels which gives very high ... I purchased my Kodak DC280 in mid April this year after months of reading reviews and probably most importantly shopping around on price. What finally did for me was when Kodak dropped the price by £100 to a price of £399.95. That is pretty expensive but worth it in my opinion. There are principally 2 types of memory card available for digital cameras (if you ignore Sony's memorystick which is proprietary) they are Smartmedia and CompactFlash. Kodak have adopted the CompactFlash type which currently has cards from approx 4Mb to 192Mb in density. The DC280 comes with an 8Mb card included. The camera has a) 2 resolutions : High - 1760x1168 pixels and Standard - ... Read the complete review

For the money you just simply will not beat the performance of the Kodak DC280. I have had mine for a couple of months now. I love the convience of taking pictures then making any edits i need from my computer. The software is easy to install, and only has about a one hour learning curve to master. Very good and fast usb connection. With a fully charged set of NI-MH, AA batteries it gets fantastic long life. And the 2.0 Megapixel image is nothing less than photo film perfect, must be seen to belive. I also like the smart card memory media included, I have upgraded the 8 mb, to a 24 mb card, and on the 24 mb, I can snap over 100 photos in the best quality mode on the ... Read the complete review

If you're looking to buy a new camera then please do not look further than this. This camera is easy to use, even for someone who is less than David Bailey! The pictures you produce have three main quality settings, the higher the quality the less pictures it takes, but even on the lowest setting they are amazing. On the highest quality they are mind blowing. Once you've taken the pictures you can load them onto your PC with ease, and admire your handywork. I made an extra purchase of a 32 Mb memory card (it comes with 8 Mb) and would sincerely advise anyone to do this. The extra money is well spent as it allows you to take well in excess of 100 pictures. ... Read the complete review
