I bought this webcam a few weeks ago and I must say that I am very happy with the quality of the camera, it is very good. I think that face tracking is possible by zooming in and out. The installation of the software went smooth. Although I think that there are a lot of errors in the software. For example, the camera isn't recognised by the computer just after the installation. I know that this can be solved by reattaching the webcam, but this isn't how it should be. Adjusting the settings for the lens cap can cause problems, and they can only be resolved by reinstalling the software. The software reports all the side by side errors in the error log of ... Logitech® QuickCam® Communicate™ STX Hubby and I had been researching webcams - well ok then, it was mainly hubby, as he's the technical one - and we'd more or less decided that Logitech was the make for us. It appeared that they did reasonably priced cameras with good pictures and sound and the fact that they had models which had built in microphones seemed like a great idea as it would mean less clutter on our desk.
