I bought this Logitech web camera as a replacement for the older, Quckcam Pro that I bought a few years ago for $80 - this was a newer version and cheaper - gotta like that. However, I truly found very little difference between the two.
The installation process is a breeze, plug it into the back of your computer... no, that's all, easy. The installation disk runs you through the rest of the process with ease.
My only issue is that the image quality - as with my original version - is very poor. Grainy and choppy with basically no function to alter the focus - it's supposed to have a "fixed focus lens" but I think the person who "fixed the focus" was as blind as a bat!!! This is obviously a Logitech defect as I had the same issue with my original Quickcam.
It has a "privacy feature" which is really nothing more than a little lens cover - although the cover could save many embarrassing situations perhaps... lol.
Overall, its a decent camera for its price and it fulfills its promise of sharing your live broadcasts with friends and family over the internet, sending e-mail videos etc.,
You get what you pay for, but it'll suit ones basic needs.
