Advantages: Cheap, sturdy, useful
Disadvantages: not as advanced as other webcams
I purchased this webcam after needing a webcam to communicate with friends overseas, and seeing as this webcam wasn't too expensive I opted to try this webcam based on a friends good word for it.
The webcam is quite basic in its design, with it being more suited for lcd screens such as those found on laptop computers as it would not fit on an old CRT tv like monitor. There are of course much more advanced webcams on the market with face tracking technology etc but for the price the little Logitech is fantastic.
Bundled in the pack is a software/driver cd as well as the webcam. The software is quite good and makes it easy to set the correct settings for the light as well as focusing the image. The webcam has a built in microphone which helps when video calling as you only have one device to calibrate to get it all working.
Logitech is a well respected brand and have produced a webcam packed with features for a relatively cheap price. They offer after sales support should you need it in any way, however the cd provides instructions which cover most aspects, and unless you have never used a computer before you will be absolutely fine with the installation and running of the webcam.
Inexpensive webcam packed with advanced features.
