This is a very sophisticated little webcam that is compatible with all instant messaging programs. I had ealier used cheap web cams from brands like zebrionics and faced problems with quality and voice while communicating with my brother and sister in-law who are in the US. A friend suggested that I buy this new web cam from logitech and recommended this brand strongly for such products. This camera has a very user friendly clip that hooks on to your laptop or your LCD monitor screen and you don't have to worry about fixing it in a position on the table. The in built speakers are super quality and the high quality video and the 1.3 megapixel photos turn out just fantastic. This camera filters out unwanted background noise and results in crystal clear conversation. My earlier web m\cam was very annoying and sometimes the picture would blur away and the sound would destroy the whole conversation. I am very happy now with my newest Logitech web cam.
