Advantages: Low price, will always work

Disadvantages: not one of these hd webcams but who cares.

I have always used logitech where ever i can. They are known for their reliability, quality and customer support all of which matter when choosing the right make. Now the build quality is very impressive. Everything is firmly attached and i know from experience it can take being thrown around a bit if that's anything to go by with the build quality. The webcam is so easy to sit up on your laptop/monitor and position, it has no chance of falling off if you knock the monitor as long as you made sure its up there properly. Even if it was to fall off it would be fine as it is well made. Now i use this webcam day in day out for hours and hours on end. I live in a different country to my family, friends and most importantly my girlfriend. So i have a webcam to keep in touch with them. The main thing i need is for the webcam to work every time i need it to work and this is exactly what logitech webcams do. Installation of the drivers and software is very easy, well from my own experience it is on window xp and vista, with macs it works but no driver support, i know it works on skype on mac but video quality isn't as good as it is on windows. Some people may find getting to run on the desired program maybe a little trick but for people who are fluent with computer or have experience in that department its really easy. If you go into the software for it, the webcam can do a few funky visual effect which are pretty cool, inclueding the popular black and white, sketch and many more. The quality of the picture transmitted depends on how fast your server is and how fast and far away the persons server who your sending it to is. The webcam also has a adjustable focus on the lens to focus in on you depending on how close you are to the webcam. Overall a very good buy, especially for the price ( which is from £15-£25), which is well worth it.
