Webcams are the way forward when it comes to communicating online, or at least thts what the manufacturers would have you believe. the truth is we are only really looking at it becoming a current technology now with the advent of broadband. My webcam broke recently and my neighbour kindly lent me one of his old ones. It is a Logitech Quickcam express and is white in colour. I believe that the original price of this was somewhere around the £20.00 mark when he purchased his but this can now be found for just £7.00 or so on Amazon.co.uk, also in white. This webcam ...  Read the complete review

Intro ------ So then, webcams in general are a fantastic way of keeping in touch with loved ones or friends when away from home for long periods of time. I really feel that they add something to a phone call, where you can obviously listen and speak, but you cannot see each other. With the new advent and popularity of skype and ...  Read the complete review

I got Logitech webcam almost a year ago for $19. This is the most basic and cheap model of Logitech. I got this model because I only have to use it once in a while when I talk to my friends and family. I thought how bad it can be but guess what I was surprised to see what Logitech had to offer with this stupid webcam. There is ...  Read the complete review

This is a good basic camera but it is a bit splotchy on the action. My girlfriend and her friends have an internet webiste utilizing web-cams. They have 6 of these cameras linked up in a special "web" room in my basement. We have all the windows taped up to keep out the voyuers looking for a free show. I am sure most of my ...  Read the complete review

~Remember thinking about how great it would be to own a webcam? Remember imagining how great it would be to have a video chat with a friend over the Internet? I do. I remember thinking about the ease of use and the TV like picture quality that we can get from our webcam.~ Waking up and seeing video footage from NASA TV and the ...  Read the complete review

The camera itself is a odd little ball fellow, very 'Prisoner' esque. I perched it atop my monitor, plugged in the connector, installed and software and everything pretty much took care of itself. The supplied software is the usual fair of video-conferencing and video e-mail drivel. Your best bet is to download the ...  Read the complete review

Cheap, does what it says on the box, never given me any problems, used it for over a year now and I am happy with my purchase. When you are looking to buy a new product I think, as a consumer, what you really need to look at is 'Does it do what it says on the box?'. The answer to this question in relation to the ...  Read the complete review

Express Review on Logitech Quickcam Express

Rating:

Even if you only intend to use a cam every now and then, go for a cam at least £10 more expensive. - Advantages: Cheap, Easy to set up, Small - Disadvantages: Doesn't appear to focus properly, Image always grainy, esecially bad in low light, Give a blurry image if you so much as breathe

I purchased this webcam to mainly use to video chat with my girlfriend. After its quick and easy USB install I was away. The picture may not be brilliant but what do you expect for £30. I was also told that you can pay much more for a camera, but over a standard phone line the picture doesn't get much better than from a cheap camera ...  Read the complete review

The Logitech QuickCam is worth it's price. It has an affordable price to match the affordable image it produces. This can be a good starter web cam, for those interested in video conferencing or chat, but it's not for those who are interested in producing high-end graphics and video. The stand is smartly designed to ...  Read the complete review

I've heard a lot of criticism of the Logitech Quickcam Express - some of it justified and some of it perhaps not. I think though that for home use, it really is a rather good little camera. It may not stand up to two-hour transatlantic video conferences, but then why are you buying a £40 camera if you need to make use of ...  Read the complete review

The price of this camera was the main selling point, £40 for a USB camera was a bargain. The instruction manual and software supplied was very good, Logitech have a good reputation so I thought everything would be okay.
