Philips Vesta Pro
The new video cameras are extremely easy to use, and enable users to capture high quality video at a maximum frame rate of 30 frames per second, resulting in high quality picture performance. The camera kits contain new full-featured applications. The v-mail (video e-mail) software enables consumers to record full motion video and audio, save the clip as an executable file, and send it as an e-mail to any recipient with an e-mail address. VideoLink enables the user to set-up point-to-point video conferencing (H324), or via the Internet (H323). This is ideal for business as well as use in social environments. Photo Express provides the user with professionally designed templates and easy-to-use tools for editing photos and images. The PCVC680K includes a powerful editing suite for editing streaming video. Microsoft Netmeeting is included to let consumers communicate with friends and relatives over the Internet. Netmeeting complies with several industry standard (H.323, T.120) for live video conferencing and multipoint data conferencing. Like its predecessor, the PCVC675/680K video cameras incorporate several features to customize picture quality. Users can control contrast, white balance, and backlight compensation with an automatic video adjustment. The cameras' variable focus lens can be adjusted manually from approximately zero (macro) to 'infinity', making it possible to zoom in on an object at very close distance while still remaining a sharp image. The cameras also have a built-in microphone and audio circuitry for live audio and high quality digital sound. The Philips new video cameras offer consumers better video quality, VGA snapshot, and new software for added versatility and functionality in personal communications. As a leader in USB technology, Philips incorporates USB connectivity for fast and hassle-free connection, simplifying installation by removing the need for additional sound cards and video grabber cards. Through the USB connection, users can change video settings such as white balance, video speed, and delay setting using digital control. The Philips Video PC Camera has just been given the prestigious Golden Industrial Design Excellence Award 1999 by the Industrial Designers Society of America.(IDSA) for its aesthetic design and utilitarian vision. According to the jurors, the Philips Video PC Camera combines a fun, personal design with an innovative way to communicate via the PC. More Philips web cams
