The Playstation Eye is the successor to the EyeToy camera for the Playstation 2. Sony have improved on the EyeToy in several ways. The lens has a two way switch to flick between two degrees of zoom. The lens itself is a of a much higher quality and the overall resolution is far higher. The Eye also has an excellent, 4 way array microphone built in. This mic has a good sensitivity that can pick up a normal conversation at a reasonable distance. As the mic is 4-way it can cancel out background noise, it can also pick out direction well. The Playstation is a great little camera mainly for the PS3 but can also now be connected to a computer and used as a webcam. The camera gives a very impressive picture and has advanced a long way since the days of the original eye toy. The picture is exreamly clear and bright, it can work in fairly low light conditions and still give a good picture, it shows movement very effectively with very little blur or distortion. A brilliant little addition to the playstation 3, but how disappointing the game for the eyetoy have not been re-devloped for the playstaion 3. They were superb. Eye create can be bought along with this camera off amazon for £24.99 which is a good price for this little camera. Take photos, videos and record yourself speaking to your playstation and along with eye create edit your photos to give new features.
