The clips that hold this web cam in place are not very well built and after 5 weeks I had to return mine to Argos. Glad it was under a warranty. Basically the clips came apart and would not hold the camera in place so it just kept falling over under its own weight.
I was not very happy with the picture either. In the daytime it is OK because it gets the picture nice and clearly but even if it is slightly dark or the blinds are shut it just has a lot of colourful dots around the edge and plenty of black contrast spots.
It hasn't been the easiest to use either because they give you some installation software called "The Drivers Disk" and that has to be installed before use. What it didn't say was that the software is for recording and taking pictures with.
Another bad thing is that the serial key is for one use only so if you are buying one used, you wont be able to activate the software for recording videos and taking picture, it'll just be for live chat and video messaging on Skype. No other web-cam software I have used has had a serial key. Stupid.
If it is in the daytime though the picture is pretty clear and there is always a very good focus on the background as well as the foreground. Although I have had people telling me that the colour is all wrong - but i have changed it that many times in the settings that i cant fix it - Must be just the rubbish colour.
I have also had people telling me that (while sitting in an object filled room with a carpet) I sound like an echoing robot. Not a very good microphone then either.
Any ways not recommended - Its not that great a picture and it breaks easily. Or at least the clips do.
