Advantages: Pretty much everything. Works seamlessly, quickly, and efficiently.

Disadvantages: Hmm..The animation rendering may be slow on older computers.

The most widely used animation program on the market, with the ability to create games and movies, animated websites, and create interactive slideshows, what could it be....but Flash!
This program by adobe really can let lose the artist inside, and using it is remarkably easy. You no longer have to put up with jagged lines, as with the pen and paintbrush tool, it smoothes them out!With "Tweens", such as motion and shape, you can change the size, location, and color of an object in your animation, without having to do it manually.
You can add sound, and really bring the animation to life. The interface is smooth, and clean, and what you would expect from Adobe, yet it also loads quickly, and opening and loading files is a breeze. Importing goes well, and fast, even with sound files.
You can put video in, and create a flash media player, or many other millions of things.
A program well worth buying, if you want to create animations, and learn to create games. Well worth buying.
