Adobe PageMill 2.0PageMill 2.0 is an impressive product. Its easy-to-use interface looks a lot like a Web browser, so you can get a real feel for what your page will look like. Beginners will like the fact that you can import text directly from your word processor into the PageMill workspace. You'll even find basic editing features, including the ability to align text and wrap it around graphic images. There's also a spell-checker with custom dictionaries and a very helpful search-and-replace feature that handles not only text but any Web-page object. Adobe beefed up PageMill's support for advanced Web-page layouts by supporting tables as well as frames. A graphics help wizard letting you specify the parameters of your table, set up nested tables, and import tables from other applications. Adobe also includes support for a variety of Internet multimedia formats. You can drag and drop animation objects designed in QuickTime, QuickTime VR, or Macromedia's Shockwave. Adobe's own Acrobat PDF-file format is naturally supported, and you'll find native support for animated GIF images, too. |
