I recently bought Dreamweaver (hereafter known as DW), after a few web-designing cousins of mine persuaded my parents to buy it, as it was the best of the bunch. They all recommended it thoroughly so finally I got it. It was money well spent.

When I first opened the package, I was very scared. The windows just kept popping up everywhere! I persevered, and I was well rewarded. Dreamweaver 4 makes it wonderfully easy to use flash in your site (Insert > Interactive Images > Flash buttons/ Flash text), enabling you to create very cool looking sites.

I realise that the price tag is very intimidating for many people, particularly if you want to do nothing more than create a personal page for friends and family to see (in which case hand-coding is for you). But for the pro designer, or even just a semi-pro one (like me) Dreamweaver makes life a whole lot easier.
