      Very helpful

      • "Great for my scalp "

      • "Did nothing to help my split ends "

      Eases the itches

I really quite like the Weleda range of hair care products and as I have very dry ends and greasy roots I need to be very careful about what I use on my hair. I bought the Weleda Rosemary Hair Lotion about a year back, for the sole purpose of trying to mend my terrible split ends and also to ease the flaking scalp I had at that time. A friend of mine had already used this and had recommended it to me.

It came in a glass bottle and I noticed immediately that it is vegan friendly. It’s meant to be applied to damp hair and scalp, both morning and evening and gently massaged into the scalp. I am afraid that it did not do a great deal in the way of mending my split ends or restoring the ends in terms of adding moisture, however, n the plus side, it did help to improve the condition of my scalp.

It is non greasy and quite light. The fragrance was stronger than I had expected, though not unpleasant, though my hubby told me he wasn’t so keen on the smell. The bottle was 50ml and cost me just under £10 but it lasted me for ages, so it was worth it.

I was disappointed that it did nothing at ll for the very ends of my hair, as I had high hopes for this lotion. As I say though, on the plus side, it really did help my itching flaking scalp and for that reason alone I would probably use this product again.

      The exact ingredients are:

Water (Aqua), Alcohol, Cochlearia Armoracia (Horseradish) Extract, Sedum Acre Extract, Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Oil, Potassium Carbonate, Fragrance (Parfum)*, Limonene*, Linalool*, Geraniol*. *from natural essential oils.

I would recommend it for dry and itching scalps but if you have dry ends, it’s better to simply have them snipped off!

Weleda Nourishing Hair Oil with Rosemary

The Weleda Nourishing Hair Oil with Rosemary is available for GBP 11.50.

The hair oil comes in a glass bottle with a white screw cap. On the glass bottle are the product name and the product information. The glass bottle contains 50 ml.

The hair oil is described as follows. "One of Weleda’s oldest products. Original formulation since 1922! The mild formulations of the holistic Weleda hair care products: for a healthy scalp and naturally beautiful hair. This nourishing and revitalising composition of rosemary, clover and burdock root leaves hair feeling smooth and silky. The natural oil nourishes, provides deep conditioning, adds shine to the hair and makes it more manageable. Helps repair dry hair. Provides intensive care for split ends. Retains the hairs natural shine. Ideal for a relaxing and calming scalp massage."

The ingredients are Arachis Hypogaea (Peanut) Oil, Trifolium Pratense (Clover) Flower Extract, Fragrance (Parfum), Arctium Lappa Root Extract, Limonene, Linalool, Geraniol and Coumarin.

The hair oil can be applied well. The hair feels soft and smooth after use, the hair oil adds shine to the hair. The hair oil does not care for and does not moisturize the hair. The hair looks dried out after use. The hair oil improves the combability.

The hair oil has an intensive rosemary scent that can be noticed after use.

I cannot recommend the Weleda Nourishing Hair Oil with Rosemary, as it does not help to repair dry hair and does not care for the hair. The hair oil improves the combability and the hair feels smooth after use.
