The Weleda Wild Rose Pampering Body Lotion is available for GBP 19.95.
The body lotion comes in a white plastic bottle with a pink label. On the pink label are the product name and the product information. The plastic bottle contains 200 ml.
The body lotion is described as follows. "This pampering body lotion stimulates the skin's regenerative processes and helps to maintain its natural elasticity. The precious formulation with organic wild rose oil, jojoba oil and hamamelis noticeably smoothes the skin. The precious fragrance of the Damascene rose indulges the senses."
The ingredients are Water (Aqua), Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Alcohol, Glycerin, Rosa Moschata Seed Oil, Glyceryl Stearate SE, Fragrance (Parfum), Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea) Butter, Glyceryl Stearate Citrate, Hamamelis Virginiana (Witch Hazel) Distillate, Rosa Damascena Extract, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Chondrus Crispus (Carrageenan), Xanthan Gum, Limonene, Linalool, Citronellol, Geraniol, Citral and Farnesol.
The body lotion has a liquid, but still creamy consistence. The body lotion can be applied well. The body lotion absorbs within a short time after applying. The skin seems to be cared for, as the body lotion moisturizes the skin. The care is not enough for dry skin. The skin feels gentle and soft. The body lotion leaves a smooth and soft feeling on the skin.
The body lotion has a light, flowery scent. The scent can still be noticed after use.
I can recommend the Weleda Wild Rose Pampering Body Lotion, as it leaves a gentle feeling on the skin. The body lotion moisturizes and cares for the skin.
I am a big fan of the Weleda range of products and was lucky enough to receive some more over Christmas. If you have not heard of Weleda then I will give you some of the background. What I love about them is that they are a natural company and according to their website, "One of the world's largest green beauty brands and truly committed to all things natural, organic, eco-friendly, sustainable and fair trade, Weleda has been voted the winner of the 'Best Ethical Range' award in the latest Natural Health magazine Beauty Awards 2012, beating runners up Trilogy, Ila and Fushi." Their philosophy or company motto is thus, " "In harmony with nature and the human being" - already highlights the values that have a crucial influence on Weleda's business aims. All our actions should serve the good of our customers, employees and partners, and should be characterised by love and respect for nature." I think its really important to support an ethical brand such as this and the benefit for me is lovely natural products that are great for my body, skin, health and well-being.
One of the items I received this Christmas was this wild rose body lotion. It's for normal to dry skin which mine is and I find this lotion really works to soften my skin and more importantly, keep it soft. It is made with organic wild rose oil, jojoba oil and hamamelis and it helps to maintain the skins natural elasticity and helps the skins regenerative processes. That's a lot of science but I like using a cream that I know will help my body with daily use, not just a nice smelling cream that fades after a day or so.
The body lotion is really lovely and indulgent but one word of warning, you do really have to like the smell of rose as this is quite an overpowering smell. The rose smell is quite natural smelling to me but is very strong so it is a scent you have to love. Thankfully, I do and that's why I love this body lotion. The scent is made from the fragrance of the Damascene Rose so its really authentic in my opinion.
It's not too flowery and old lady smelling, its more earthy and natural and a lovely way to introduce some scent to your body without using perfume.
The lotion comes with a pump action dispenser which I find really easy to use and is a helpful way of squeezing lotion straight onto your hands, ready to smooth all over your body. I'm glad I received this as a gift as it is quite expensive, a 200ml bottle costs £20 which is very expensive but it's such a lovely product that I'm glad I can use.
I received a 20ml tube of Weleda's Wild Rose pampering body lotion in a beauty box and had kept it in a drawer until recently due to the fact that I am using a lot of Avon and Soap and Glory up in the body lotion department.
The tube is attractively presented with a deep pink body and a white screw top lid. The lotion itself is not too runny but quite thin so a little bit seems to go a long way. The consistency is just right in my opinion. The only issue I have is with the fragrance. I am not a big fan of anything rose to start with but that was not really the overwhelming aroma I get when using this product. The smell is more plant like and botanical, bordering on soil if I'm honest!
I like the results from this body lotion but am not happy about the smell and do not want to smell like this all day!! I think the packaging is nice but it is quite expensive so not one I will repurchase due to the aroma of the product.
A 2oom tube is around £16 and it seems the place to buy Weleda is mainly online.
The tube promises an intense hydrating experience, which I have found to be true with this body lotion. I like that it is not too thick when you apply it and I appreciate the fact that Weleda have been around since 1921 so they have withstood the test of time, however, I am sorry to say that this is just not the right product for me and it's all down to the fragrance. I am sure there will be plenty of people out there who love it and don't mind the smell at all but there is definitely no repurchase on the cards for me.
