      Advantages

      Disadvantages

I like this night cream and think it smells beautiful

      WHAT IS IT?

Night cream that has got a rich rose fragrance.

      THE PACKAGING

This night cream comes in a bright pink tube that is very attractive but I think it does not make me think that this is a very good quality product.  The tube is quite thick and it is hard to squeeze sometimes but I like that the hole is wide enough for me to squeeze out as much as I need because the cream has got quite a thick texture also so it was a surprise when it was supplied in a tube instead of a pot.  My tube is 30ml but I think that other sizes are available.

      WHAT I THINK

I have been using this cream every night for 3 weeks and think it is very effective for the small amount of money that it costs.  It smells very beautiful and has got a strong natural rose fragrance, I like it but it is unusual for a face care product to have such a very strong smell like this.

I use it only at night and I would not apply it in the day because it makes my skin look greasy even though it is not an oily cream.  It is very creamy and rich and I think that is why it makes my face shiny, it sinks in quite quick but not as fast as when I use my day lotion from the same rose range because it is a lot thicker and creamier.  When I get up the next morning my skin does not look greasy but it always looks like it has been moisturised effectively.  I think my skin looks younger and brighter than before I started to use this cream, it does not help with uneven skin tone but I would not expect for that to happen.

My skin looks smooth and feels very soft after 3 weeks of use and I am happy for that because it is a very nice night cream to use but I would not keep using it if the cream was not effective.  I like how moisturised my skin feels after I have used it and even a dry area of skin on my forehead looks a lot better now since I have started to use this night cream.   I think the fragrance is very relaxing also and it is nice to go to sleep knowing that my skin smells nice.

      ANYTHING ELSE

A 30ml tube of Weleda Wild Rose Night Cream costs about £10 and that is value because it is a very nice product to use.

      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A night cream which has a delightful fragrance and softening qualities

Weleda Wild Rose Night Cream is one of my favourite products and something I have used for a long time. I think more and more people are choosing to use natural cosmetics and fragrances, and this product in particular has lovely attributes and a reasonable price tag, making it an affordable purchase.

Weleda has a long history dating back to 1921 and the company specialises in producing ethical products, many of which have a place in my home.

The Wild Rose Night Cream retails for £13.50 for 30 ml, and is sold in many heath food stores, online and from Weleda themselves. Boots now stock it online for the superb price of £9.95 and to be honest there is no need to pay the recommended price as there are cheaper bargains everywhere online for this product. The cream is presented in a rose coloured tube, which has an outer cardboard box, and the small size of the product makes it perfect for travelling, as it is well within the margin for liquids allowed in cabin baggage.

This cream is really an intensive moisturising treatment, and it contains musk rose and evening primrose oils, which have softening and repairing qualities. There is peach kernel oil, almond oil, and olive oil all combining together to create a moisture retentive product.

I think it has a thick and creamy consistency, and a superb floral fragrance, which is probably more than anything the main reason it has found a place on my bedside table. There are so many night creams on the market now in the paraben free range, and more and more of these are in the affordable price bracket. Many, however, lack that special something in either their fragrance or moisturising qualities, but this product does have both in abundance.

Where I feel this product lacks though is in the packaging, as I would prefer to see this also available in a screw top jar, as there is something rather basic about the fact that it is dispensed from a tube. Yes it makes it an ideal format for travelling, but somehow it lacks that feminine aspect which is so important on a dressing table situation - my view anyway. For this reason it has become more of a travelling companion than an everyday staple for me, but this is purely because there is no glass jar, and not for reasons pertaining to the product itself which is superb.

The cream is white and is easily absorbed and has a slightly greasy finish, which disappears through the night leaving skin soft and moisturised. It claims to prevent the first signs of ageing, so for me maybe this has come too late, but the cream is certainly aimed at the market who seek to push back time, rather than for the teenage oily skin group. One handy tip Weleda offer is to use a warm face cloth for a few minutes after application, as this will enhance absorption and moisturising qualities.

I think the product has a fragrance which lingers through the night, and in the morning the great thing is that my skin always feels really moisturised and soft.

The cream is part of a range of wild rose products designed for the face. These include, cleaning lotion and toner, day cream, and there is also a facial oil and masque.

When taken travelling this handy little product is absolutely fantastic as it can also be used as a hand cream. When I went rough camping on the Scottish island of Tiree a couple of years ago, this cream was my best friend. I had to travel light, and only took my really pruned down make-up bag and cleansing items, and this product earned its place by doubling up as a moisturiser for hands, as well as a night time treatment for my face.

As the cream is so thick you really do not need to use very much at all, and a little lasts ages. For this reason I think it is very good value for money.

Weleda actually grow all their own flowers and herbs used in their products, so you are really buying a fantastic product which is quality controlled from germination right through to sale.

This is an ideal product especially for travel and the rose scent is divine. For the price it is difficult to find a competitor which delivers such outstanding results, but there are some which I also use that match up, but maybe don't have that portable attribute that this cream has.
