My favourite rose cream is by Dr Hauschka but Weleda also do a really nice range of rose products. The body products smell amazing as do the face products but unlike the body products which are mainly about fragrance and scent the facial products are for making my skin look and feel good.
The facial cream is a lovely consistency as it isn’t too thick and cloggy unlike some really thick day creams. It still protects and moisturises but it doesn’t feel heavy or leave a greasy layer. It just softens and makes skin instantly comfortable after using it and if you have any dryness from washing your face then this will sort it out straight away. It is incredibly nourishing but without that heavy and sticky feel that some day creams will give you which makes a nice change.
I don’t like to use the same facial products on my skin no matter how nice they might be because I think that your skin ends up getting used to them and they stop being as effective. I don’t even know if this is true but I do notice that when I use something for too long it can stop being as effective on my skin.
This would be a cream that I would reach for if my skin was feeling a little bit stressed or reactive as it is really soothing and gentle feeling on my skin but it still feels like it is also keeping my skin supple and helping with the battle of aging. I do notice that it seems to work on the fine lines that I can get if my skin is feeling dry as it plumps them out and helps my skin look more rested and just a little bit healthier and more glowy. It gives a nice base for adding foundation and I do notice that my foundation just glides on my skin after using this.
It isn’t the cheapest cream at £16.95 but I don’t think it is overly expensive as a good day cream isn’t the cheapest thing in the world and you can pay a lot more for one that isn’t anywhere near as good as this. At least you know when paying the money for this one that it is full of nice natural ingredients and not just stuffed with chemicals that will end up doing more harm than good to your skin.
