mizzy Miyazawa PA-402E: ... Miyazawa PA 402E is a fantastic flute that I used to own. It was stolen from my student house last year, and I was very upset until I got my new miyazawa with the new brogger system. This miyazawa flute has a solid silver head joint and body, the keys are silver plated. This flute is for the advanced player, as it has open holes, which allow the player to feel the vibrations through the flute. They also mean t...

... Yamaha YFL211s is probably the worlds most popular student flute. Solid, reliable and they hold their value well. I play the flute myself and used to work in a music shop where the Yamaha 211 outsold all other student flutes 5 to 1. You will pay more for a Yamaha but there are several reasons why this is worth doing: - The Yamaha comes with a 2 year manufacturers guarantee whereas many others such as Jupiter and Pearl come with 1. - The silver plated body is sophisticated and durable enough to out live the student head joint - what I mean by this is that usually when a student player progresses to grade 5/6 standard they usually need to upgrade to a flute with at...

... is a review about the company rather than this item. I ordered something 3 days ago and though they didn t have it in stock they debited my bank account immediately. In the last three days they haven t replied to any of my queries about possible delivery times, my cancellation of the order or when I could expect a refund. They appear to have cancelled the order since it no longer appears on the web site but I have had no communication whatsoever about it and therefore have no idea what their intentions are. This is really annoying and given the current economic climate you would think that they would want to compete positively with other musical suppliers. Every ot...

mizzy Yamaha YFL-211 SL
... flute is perfect for beginners. I started out playing on one of these that my grandad gave to me. The mouthpiece had all worn away as it was nickel plated, but that was only after at least 20 years of solid use! They cost around £150-200 but second hand could work out cheaper. When buying a second hand one be careful to check all the pads are there, all the keywork closes and opens properly and that the top isnt loose on the headjoint, as a service can work out at over £100! Its nickel plated, but is fine if your just starting out. Its easy to get a note out compared to other beginner flutes, and if you keep it in good condition it should last all the way up to gra...
