... is a lovely piccolo to own as I do. Its got a body made of grenadilla, and you can either choose the headjoing to be silver or made of the same, withough a mouthpiece. I have the silver mouthpiece as I find when switching between flute and picc, the mouthpiece needs to be similar to keep the high level of sound coming. Miyazawa BR-402REH ... is my brand new flute. Its amazing and I shall tell you why: *The new Brogger system is unlike anything I have played with before, its incredibly light, quick response, different mechanism so the flute looks different. It looks cleaner as it is basically a pinless mechanism, so there are longer bars, and less pins. *The headjoint I have is the one up than the one that comes with the flute. The mouthpiece is handcut and therefore has a very personalised sound which I happened to love when I tried it out. When trying out this flute, try all the notes, high and low. Muramatsu EX ... is a semi professional flute in that it doesnt have silver all the way through. The keys arent silver and if you are looking to upgrade, its worth spending the extra thousand to get open holed and a more beautiful sound. Muramatsu are great show flutes as they are so loud, you can create a great classical sound, but I find that they tend not to have too many different colours and sounds to them, so its not the best one for people wanting to play jazz, or even 20c music. Its still a good flute, especially for the price that seems to be listed here as Ive seen it in flute shops for more expensive. Miyazawa PA-402RE ... cant actually get this exact make new anymore, as they have stopped making it. They stopped making it so they could put a new mechanism on the same body, called the Brogger system. This model has the old Boehm system. I used to own this flute until it got stolen, and I bought the newer model with the new mechanism. This is a great flute if you can find one second hand as its light, has loads of different tones and colours, and you can make a lot of noise and try out different effects with it.
