This flute is perfect for beginners. I started out playing on one of these that my grandad gave to me. The mouthpiece had all worn away as it was nickel plated, but that was only after at least 20 years of solid use! They cost around £150-200 but second hand could work out cheaper. When buying a second hand one be careful to check all the pads are there, all the keywork closes and opens properly and that the top isnt loose on the headjoint, as a service can work out at over £100!
