Vacuvin Rapid Ice Prestige Wine Cooler

I love a glass of good wine once, twice or even trice a week. I love a glass of well chilled white wine and there are few things that taste worse than a tepid or warm glass of White. Red on the other hand tastes much better at room temperature. We have quite a nice fridge in our kitchen but this device is fantastic at chilling the wine ... on the side table as you eat or you can have it on the table beside you. It looks modern and stylish. The Vacuvin Rapid Ice Prestige Wine Cooler has a stainless steel finish and feels like it's made of good quality materials. It has some weight when empty that ensures it doesn't feel flimsy.
There is also an ice jacket included with the product and it's that jacket that does most of the work. This ice jacket must be kept in the freezer until it is needed. I find this a much better idea than having to remember to pop it in the morning of a party or even a couple of hours before hand. Always having it there means it's always ready to go. This gel like pack then has to be put into the steel cooler right at its base. This pack then chills the base and when I place a bottle into the opening of the bucket that is how the bottle become chilled rather than needing to have a messy bucket of ice melting on the table. It is meant to perfectly chill a bottle of wine in around twenty minutes. And I found it did this in the time stated. The only thing is I would say you must leave it in for at least that amour of time otherwise the bottom part of the bottle that has been in contact with the ice jacket will be chilled but the exposed part of the bottle may not be as chilled.
After twenty minutes the wine is perfectly chilled, cool and ready to drink. The bottle can be opened, poured and returned to the chiller bucket over and over again just as you would with a traditional ice bucket. This is a very stylish looking wine cooler and it would look great on any table (it is also available in black). It sits neatly on any table and is very well balanced which of course is very important. I love it, it works very well, keeps my drinks chilled while all the time looking amazing.

I love a glass or two of Rose wine on a summers evening and when I get home from work there is nothing worse than when I have forgotten to put a bottle of wine in the fridge so that it is cold, which seems to happen more often than not unfortunately. I find that it has to be chilled otherwise it just doesn't taste the same. This is when ... for my Birthday I was given a Vacuvin Rapid Ice Prestige Wine Cooler that came in the stainless steel version.
This is a great idea as it is not run on electric so that you can use and take it anywhere and even use it on the patio while relaxing in the sunshine. The Vacuvin Rapid Ice Prestige Wine Cooler is a chiller that you use without ice, which means that it can keep your wine cooler for a lot longer.
To use the chiller you keep the gel pack in the freezer and take it out when required and place it into your chiller by unscrewing the base and placing it into the chiller. As long as you put it back into the freezer you will never have to worry about another warm bottle of wine ever again. After the bottle has been in the cooler for 10 to 15 minutes it is chilled and ready to drink and once you have poured a glass, you put the bottle back into the cooler and it will be kept cold for hours or until you run out.
This is great in the summer months as you do not have to take up lots of space in your fridge chilling wine, you can just use it for all you food so that you do not waste any space. The gel pack is also very small so it takes up a minimal amount of space in your freezer.
In looking around online there are a number of different designs for you to chose from to suit and they retail at around £12.50, but if you have a look around you may be able to find a better deal.
The disadvantages are that it is quite a snug fit when you are outing the bottle into the chiller, but I assume that this means that it chills the wine quicker, as if it was too big the gel would not touch the glass bottle. In reading the packaging it does boast that it will chill a bottle of wine in five minutes which I think is a little unrealistic.
The Vacuvin Rapid Ice Prestige Wine Cooler well worth buying for the small £12.00 price tag and it is worth money if you regularly use it, or even if it is something that you only use on special occasions. It would be a welcome gift for any wine drinker.

Vacuvin Rapid Ice Prestige Wine Cooler

Please note: There are several different wine coolers from this range with the exact same description online. The one that I am reviewing is the Vacu Vin Rapid Ice Wine Cooler with dimensions of 20 x 14.5 x 14.5cm and this is a wine cooler with an ice pack concealed within.
We love to have gatherings in our home, dinner ... parties, drinks, parties, pre-drinks before nights out, anything that involves us getting some friends together in our home and having a good time! It is because of this that we have a host of gadgets that are supposed to be time saving, energy saving and generally just fantastic. Because I have a black & silver look in my kitchen when my husband picked up one of these coolers he went for one in black just so it would fit in and look nice on our black & silver dining table.
This wine cooler comes provided in a cardboard box and the cooler itself weighs around 1kg so it is not too heavy for carrying to the dinner table. The size is quite a lot thicker than a bottle of wine so it does take up a fair amount of space on the dining table, however, this is not a downside at all as it works so well!
I love the look of this wine cooler, it looks stylish and I love how it blends in with everything else. I guess it is because of personal preference but we tend to chill white wine in this and I love the look of it when its on the table just waiting for a crisp glass to be poured out.
Using this wine cooler is very simple, just freeze the ice pack that sits within the cooler and then take it out when needed. I tend to freeze the pack as soon as we have cleared away from dinner just to ensure that it is ready for next time I need it. The ice pack folds flat and takes up minimal space in my freezer drawer. I tend to put this down the side of some other items so it can fill in one of those annoying small spaces that are often left down the side of tubs and boxes in the freezer. The ice pack slots in place simply and then I just have to place the bottle of wine within the cooler and it works its magic at cooling my wine. The fit is quite snug but I would rather this than a bottle that rattles around lots.
We have used this, on occasion, when it is just the two of us and found that within 20-25 minutes the wine is chilled nicely enough for us to enjoy and it stays chilled for around 1 1/2 - 2 hours.
I absolutely love the look of this wine cooler. We don't use it every time we have a bottle of wine but we usually have it out if we are eating a sit down meal at the dining table or simply having friends over. This is a nice addition to a well set table and it looks very nice.
I believe that my husband paid around £14 or £15 for this from a local shop in our home town, however, if you are interested then this can be purchased from numerous online stockists for around £15.00.
