      Disadvantages

Freestanding wine cooler, retailing for approximately £280

      Overview:

This is a freestanding wine cooler, retailing for approximately £280. The four shelves hold about 33 bottles of wine and the dimensions are: height = 840 mm, width = 493 mm, depth = 585 mm.

      The good:

The appearance is good with a glass door and beech shelves. This is a smart addition to the kitchen and the interior light is particularly appealing in a darkened room.

The shelves slide out partially which means it is easy to access bottles.

There is a reversible door mechanism which means it can open either left to right or right to left which increases the range of locations in which it can be placed.

Owned for approximately 15 months and no problems with it in this time.

      Easy to clean.

      The bad:

At full capacity on each of the four shelves the bottles are stacked two deep which makes it fiddly to get to the lower ones. Extra shelves would be easier to manage and would look better although this would also lead to an increase in size.

In my personal opinion the freestanding models never look as neat as the built in ones.
