A cool little fridge
Member Name: MamaC
Advantages: Looks very stylish, 2 temperature zones.
Disadvantages: A bit pricey
Having built a stunning new kitchen over 3 years ago my parents wanted to furnish us with a gift. As we do a lot of entertaining and hold lots of parties but better gift I could want than a stylish wine cooler. A friend who had had one for 5 years recommended this one to me. It was purchased just when we were designing our kitchen, as it is an integrated wine cooler.
Energy rating is A which by all accounts is exceptional. Needless to say that the glass door is UV tinted unlike some of the cheaper wine coolers - this feature will ensure that your wine is protected until it is removed from the cooler. The door is opened by a lovely stainless steel handle and as you open it your cooled wine is illuminated by the built in interior halogen light. If you do open the door the light turns off automatically after 10 seconds. The interior is just like a fridge - white. You just have to touch the handle and the light comes on which will save the fridge from losing energy when opened. The temperature can be set from 6 - 14 degrees Celsius. by using the LED control panel It holds up to 32 bottles of wine that can be placed across 6 shelves, 3 of which are fully adjustable so that perhaps a box of wine can be placed inside and 1 glass shelf at the bottom is fixed. The overall size is H 874 x W 538 x D 542 mm, which must be taken into account when planning your kitchen design. One great feature is that it has 2 different temperature zones. It runs very quite and you'll hardly notice it's there. Cleaning is easy, just like cleaning a fridge. The instruction booklet is brilliant as it tells you how to correctly store your wine. It also has a handy 'super cool' function which when enable will quickly cool your wine down in an instant.
Not only can you just store your wine in here but it can also be used for storing party food, or general food that wont fit in your fridge.
It is very expensive and I'm sure that there are other cheaper makes out there, but this really is a quality product that will look amazing in any kitchen.
Purchased from John Lewis for £1200
Summary: Looks great integrated into any kitchen, works really well.
