I love a glass or two of Rose wine on a summers evening and when I get home from work there is nothing worse than when I have forgotten to put a bottle of wine in the fridge so that it is cold, which seems to happen more often than not unfortunately. I find that it has to be chilled otherwise it just doesn't taste the same. This is when for my Birthday I was given a Vacuvin Rapid Ice Prestige Wine Cooler that came in the stainless steel version.

This is a great idea as it is not run on electric so that you can use and take it anywhere and even use it on the patio while relaxing in the sunshine. The Vacuvin Rapid Ice Prestige Wine Cooler is a chiller that you use without ice, which means that it can keep your wine cooler for a lot longer.

To use the chiller you keep the gel pack in the freezer and take it out when required and place it into your chiller by unscrewing the base and placing it into the chiller. As long as you put it back into the freezer you will never have to worry about another warm bottle of wine ever again. After the bottle has been in the cooler for 10 to 15 minutes it is chilled and ready to drink and once you have poured a glass, you put the bottle back into the cooler and it will be kept cold for hours or until you run out.

This is great in the summer months as you do not have to take up lots of space in your fridge chilling wine, you can just use it for all you food so that you do not waste any space. The gel pack is also very small so it takes up a minimal amount of space in your freezer.

In looking around online there are a number of different designs for you to chose from to suit and they retail at around £12.50, but if you have a look around you may be able to find a better deal.

The disadvantages are that it is quite a snug fit when you are outing the bottle into the chiller, but I assume that this means that it chills the wine quicker, as if it was too big the gel would not touch the glass bottle. In reading the packaging it does boast that it will chill a bottle of wine in five minutes which I think is a little unrealistic.

The Vacuvin Rapid Ice Prestige Wine Cooler well worth buying for the small £12.00 price tag and it is worth money if you regularly use it, or even if it is something that you only use on special occasions. It would be a welcome gift for any wine drinker.
