Advantages: Versatile and easy on the palate
Disadvantages: None apart from it disappears quickly at parties.
Blossom Hill Californian red wine is one of my very favourites. I enjoy many wines, both red and white but reds are definitely my favourites. I'm especially partial to red Californian wines. I find these are easy on the palate but flavourful. I don't pretend to be an expert but I'm managing to, gradually, sample quite a few!
Blossom Hill make my favourite wines generally, as I also enjoy their whites and rose overall, but I absolutely love Blossom Hill soft and fruity. As I have said, I don't claim to be an expert and my budget has to be for the cheaper market, though saying that, I have tried more expensive wines but haven't often liked them any more than the wines selling for under £5.00 to £6.00 per bottle.
Blossom Hill soft and fruity is very palatable and an easy drinking wine. This wine really is soft and fruity.
The 75cl bottle is 12.5% volume but it doesn't taste very strong, just flavoursome and mellow.
It is great drunk with most foods but I like it with pasta or a nice crispy salad. It is ideal for entertaining as it seems to go down very well with most people. I also wouldn't be without a bottle or two when having a barbeque. As it's red it goes with meat, or so my husband tells me, as I am not a meat eater. I admit that I often have a small glass of this wine of an evening while watching television. After all, red wine is supposed to be good for one. I don't believe all i hear but I can go along with this.!
Another plus is that it's readily available at most supermarkets and is reasonably priced. I usually pay around £4.50 a bottle and honestly buy it for it's great taste which I find better than wines at twice the price.
If you like mellow reds with a rich berry taste then this is for you.
Summary: This wine goes down well with most of my guests
