      Advantages

      Disadvantages

All together easy to drink and enjoy white wine - more value for your money

I love to chill at the end of a day with a glass of white wine before bed, but, as my budget is quite tight I have tried to rationalise my wine spending.

I used to buy a bottle of wine about £3.99 for 75cl / 10% Volume, however, Tesco Value range has done it again - and gone one better!

You can now buy Tesco Value Spanish white wine (Vino Blanco) 1L / 11% Volume for an amazing £3.31.

They actually sell 2 types of white wine (same % volume - with only a slight difference in price but it's only pennies), they also do a red wine and a Rose. The wine is sold in either 1L or 25 cl Tetra packed cartons, (as a bonus the carton can be popped in the recycle bin when you're done with it).

As usual with the Tesco Value range it is located on the bottom shelf in the wine aisle!

Now - back to the Vino Verde, it goes well with fish, chicken, salad (basically anything!) Even just watching TV before bed. The taste is lovely, I'm not a wine buff or anything like that, I just know that I like this wine, and for only £3.31 for a 1L carton you can't go far wrong - and if you try it but don't like it - you can cook with it (sacriledge in my book) - but an option!

      It's also great at parties.

One draw back of the packaging (purely because of its shape) is that you leave a few scanty drops in the carton - one sad way to extrude all the wine (after all - you've paid for it) is to cut the end off one of the corners of the tetra pack - (neccessity is the mother of invention).

To summarise, A mellow, pleasant, tasty wine, that doesn't make you think you're drinking anti-freeze.
