Advantages: Good flavours

Disadvantages: None in my opinion

Turner Road Reserve Chardonnay 2010 is a white wine from California, USA. It is presented in a green galls bottle with a screw top lid that is easy to open. The wine is 13.5% and comes in a standard 70cl bottle.

I enjoy drinking the wine and although it is not my favourite I am quite happy to buy a bottle very now and then when it is special offer. You can usually find it in most supermarkets for around £4.99, though I have seen in Tesco Metro in Leeds for £12.99, which I thought was a bit steep, for a mass produced wine.
The wine is a golden yellow colour and it has a lovely green apple and pear aroma when first opened. It is not a heavy wine, in that it is fairly watery on the palate and I find that I can taste melon, a hint of honey and a little citrus and vanilla. The overall taste does not tend to linger too long on the tongue and it is a decent wine to drink. I am not brilliant at matching up wines with food, though I find that I like to drink this particular wine with a light pasta dish with seafood, just a simple herb, garlic and oil pasta dish or a tomato based vegetable pasta dish

The wine contains Sulphur Dioxide and Sulphates and the glass bottle is recyclable. Overall I would recommend this wine to others that enjoy non-oakey chardonnays, it is easy on the palate, goes well with food and is generally well priced.

Summary: Easy to drink, well priced
