      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Nice enough but nothing special in our opinion!

Both me and my mate love a nice bottle of wine between us on the odd occasion and both of us being Librians mean we can't decide between purchasing a red or white wine so opt for a rose usually!

We spotted this costing £4.98 a bottle normally but on offer in Asda with a few wines being on an offer at 3 bottles for a tenner so we decided to treat ourselves to three nice bottles of different wines to try out!

      The Packaging:

Standard sized glass bottle with a screw on/off silver screw cap to the top of it. On the front of the bottle on a label I'm told that it is Villa Dei Foschi 'Italia' and that the wine is a product of Italy and that it is a light, crisp rose with fantastic berry flavour and that it was produced in 2008. On the back label I am told a bit about the wine, that it is 12% volume. Nice, simple looking bottle that appears quality.

A Bit About The Bottle According to The Back Of The Bottle:

A vibrant rose with aromas of stone fruits and citrus. Hints of strawberries and apricots on the palate combine with a crisp finish. A refreshing balance between the fruit and the medium bodied structure. Serve well chilled, enjoy this on its own or with light dishes.

      The Wine:

Well it's a light blush colour of course and it is transparent and it's a flat wine meaning no bubbles are in this offering. As soon as you open the bottle up you get a waft of berry fruits which is slightly sweet but very natural and light smelling.

Taste wise we found this to be really alcoholic in taste. We were expecting a lightly fresh and fruity tasting drink and to be fair it does contain fruit flavouring but it is a strong tasting wine that is slightly sour and rather rich and you can't get a distinct flavour of any fruits at all, it's simply well blended.

It is important to serve this chilled because warm or not cool enough it tastes horrid but served cool/cold it is a nice to drink to alone or as stated on the bottle would go nice with light meals such as pasta , fish and white meats.

This failed to excite us however it is obviously wine full of quality!
