I bought this board at Sports Experts in Quebec city. The price was reducer (249,99 $ CAN instead of 349,99 $) because K2 doesn't make this board anymore.

I previously had an old Airwalk Select that someon gave me and I had a shock when I shifted for the A-Star. You just have to think "go left" in your head and the board will follow ! This makes it an excellent board for the beginner to intermediate rider. The K2 Hybritech shape (sandwich contruction in the middle and cap on the edges) probably helps for that.

However, the real thrill with this board begins in the powder. You can really push it to the limit and ride it aggressively and it will follow your command. It bites the snow quite impressively for a 349 $ board.

I can't tell you what this board can do in the Park because I'm no park rider but it's flex and sharp turns probably would do the job although ther feet are not centered on the board.

To conclude, it's a great all mountain board for beginner-intermediate riders who want to take it to the next level. Be quick and buy it if you see one at a good price because they don't make them anymore !
