Belkin N+ Wireless Modem Router ... The Belkin N+ router is one of the higher end (consumer) wireless modem router offerings from Belkin. It cost me £85 from PC World, but can probably be found for a bit less if you shop online. The Cable version costs a little less. Reason I bought this one was because two PCs in the house with wireless cards kept losing the wireless connection when I was using a Linksys router (my own PCs / laptops were fine though!). I replaced that with a second hand Belkin, which worked fine but unfortunately, a power cut killed the wireless on it. Belkin N Wireless Router ... router is for use mainly in Big Homes. The N range capability means that the wireless range should be able to get around your whole house and maybe far outside. Belkin is a very trustwothy company and I myself have been using this piece of equipment for a while now. Below I am going to rate all the important bits /10 and then write a comment: Wireless Range: 8/10 The range is very good, even if your wireless computer is fairly far away. My main PC is around 15- 20 metres away with around 5 walls to pass through. My computer gets a connection of 3- 4 bars which is very good compared to many other wireless routers I have used. Netgear DGN2000 ... Netgear DGN2000 is an Wireless N (draft) compatible wireless and ethernet router. It is also an ASDL modem, even compatible with ASDL 2+, supporting speeds up 24mbs (and possibly greater) so you shouldnt need to buy a new modem if you upgrade your connection. Installation: Installation was pretty simple. Just insert the CD and plug in the router. Most the settings are entered automatically, leave you just to enter your username and password, afterwhich your ready to go.
