      Advantages

      • Reliability

      Disadvantages

If you are anyone but a business, get this

      Firstly
This is a lovely sized router that will fit neatly and snugly into very small spaces, yet covers your whole house with wireless wonderfulness.

      Signal Strength
I live in a shared one story flat, it is very wide, with many walls blocking off each room. The wireless router is capable of providing a very strong signal to every single room in the flat, and even to other flats above and below us. There is no issue with signal strength.

      Reliability
The router is constantly on, and during its two months of operation, has only needed to be restarted once, and that was due to an error with the network, not the router itself. I cannot fault the router.

      Network Connections
There are four ethernet (RJ45) outputs, and one ethernet (RJ45) input (your connection to the internet), as well as wireless of course. The wired connections are very useful, as at least one of them will be used to initially set up your router.

      Set up
Initiating your wireless internet connection, assigning a password, and applying encryption couldn't be easier. I think the set up took me around ten minutes, and that includes the physical connection of the cables.
I use a wired connection with my desktop PC, a wired one with my laptop, and the whole flat uses it to connect their games consoles to the internet wirelessly. I have never once had a speed problem or disconnection that has been associated to the router. If something goes wrong, it will most likely be down to your Internet Service Provider, and the most common solution, baffling as it is, is to turn your router off and on again.

      Anything to be aware of?
This router comes with a short yellow ethernet cable, it will be useful for some people, however you may need to purchase a longer cable for wired only devices.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

If you want an easy to use router which will work all over a bigger house, get the Belkin N router.

I have owned this router for a couple of years having replaced the older 'G' version to extend the speed & range of my internet connection at home.

The Belkin brand has gone from strength to strength in recent years due to the sheer quality of their products and this truly extends to this router. The signal range and quality are second to none. The range is very noticeably better than other 'G'-rated models and this effect is increased through having two antennae which can be arranged in a way that works best in your house.

This router is able to work with both ADSL or cable internet and ours works very well with the Virgin connector box. The router has four direct ethernet ports on the back and we have one computer which plugs in directly into it as well as our own and friends' laptops which all connect wirelessly. The menu is easy to manage and allows you to personalise all aspects of your network, select the channel you wish to use, network name & password.

The only downside that we've had with this router is that it freezes up on rare occasions. This typically happens once every 5-6 weeks, but the solution is simple. We merely uplug the power cable going into it and then put it back in. Within seconds the router is working perfectly again. This has not deterred our liking of the router and I am sure whenever we come to replace it, we will be looking to Belkin.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A very good Router which over does what it says it can do. Brilliant little machine.

This router is for use mainly in Big Homes. The N range capability means that the wireless range should be able to get around your whole house and maybe far outside. Belkin is a very trustwothy company and I myself have been using this piece of equipment for a while now.
Below I am going to rate all the important bits /10 and then write a comment:

        Wireless Range: 8/10
The range is very good, even if your wireless computer is fairly far away. My main PC is around 15- 20 metres away with around 5 walls to pass through. My computer gets a connection of 3- 4 bars which is very good compared to many other wireless routers I have used.

        Insallation: 10/10
Very Quick and easy, took only 10 minutes to install and getting all my wireless PCs connected. With very simple instructions.

        Price of components: 4/10
The Belkin N wireless USB adapter is rather exspensive for what it is and it is one of the best USBs to use. Otherwise the rest comes with the box.

        Internet Speed: 9/10
Very good for online gaming. You get lagging now and then due ot the router but that is pretty much normal for all routers. Also when downloading you may think that many of these routers will be slow when coming to download.... not for this one. This one is very fast and can download at max speed.

        Features: 10/10
Many times when you come to use a router and you lose connection you don't know whether its the router thats making the problem or if its you ISP that has the problem. This problem is not solved with this router as it tells you whether it has an internet connection or not. Also it tells you if you security WEPs, WPAs are up giving you extra confidence when using this equipment.

        Connections: 8/10
Having 5 Ethernet ports its useful for connecting multiple wired computers and has the capability of running a whole wired network.

        Network Computer Sharing: 7/10
This router has the capability of also running a network. Where you can share and access files on other coputers (when the other coputer is turned on). This is done easily and efficiently.

        Security Options: 10/10
Has the best security encryptions you need. It can also hex-code a certain phrase so if you lose or forget your key all you have to do is type in your phrase and your key will reappear.

        Software: 9/10
Runs strait off the disc and from there you can update anything you want to the router. Such as changing your security key. It is done in a flash.

        Price: 8/10
It is rather exspensive but I believe it's worth it. It looks very stylish next ot your computer and does the job better than expected.

        Overall: 8/10
It does what it is meant to do, ery fast and efficient, not very high power consumption and can tell you all the equipment the router is picking up, whether it is internet connections, security enabled or another wireless computer is connected to it. Very good Router which is worth every penny in my experience.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A good router, but it isn't worth £70.

This is my first router after my great Netgear one.

I bought this router because it was made by Belkin, a respected manufacturer, and because it had all the features I am looking for.

It looks nice, sleek and shiny. The set up is fairly easy, but it didn't work at first because it couldn't connect to my broadband, but this was easily solved by the Belkin Support team.

You can easily manage this router using the web based control panel. From the control panel you can change all the settings as well as reboot or update the router software.

The router can be a bit unreliable, at times it goes very slow or drops the wireless connection, but the majority of the time it has a large and reliable wireless range.

It has a nice set of security features as well as draft n wireless which makes it very fast. I don't think it is worth the high price, but it isn't terrible.
