I bought this item a couple of years ago when my house got wireless broadband because my laptop at the time did not have wireless capabilities. I spent roughly twenty pounds on it, which I consider to be reasonable price considering I got a good years daily use out of it.
When you buy the product you get the 'pen' which has a USB adapter on it and is the bit of the product which connects to the wireless. You also get a stand for the pen which has a USB lead connected to this the purpose of this is that you can stand the pen on the desk or in a place which receives the strongest wireless signal.
You have to install the pen the first time you use it, but after that it should just need to be plugged in. The pen did everything it said on the box, the only problem I had was that my laptop often took a while to activate the pen which was a bit annoying if i was in a hurry to get online. Buying this adapter was way cheaper than buying a new laptop with wireless capabilities.
