Buffalo AirStation Nfiniti WHR-G300N (Buffalo Airstation Nfiniti WHR-G300N)

Advantages: fast, good looking Disadvantages: very poor range We were provided with internet facilities in a new student house which came with a Buffalo Airstation Nfiniti WHR-G300N wireless router, at first I was delighted to have the wireless and the speed seemed great. In-fact I would have said it was an excellent router and much better than I expected for one included in the rental of our house. That was until we got the first day of the summer sunshine after using the router, at home I have always been able to connect even at the end of a very large garden, however when I went to outside to soak up the rare British sun my laptop beeped at me 'internet not connected' I checked the laptops internet settings and sure enough the wireless did not reach the garden, which in a city centre 3-storey terraced house I thought was ridiculous as the basic post office standard router that came free almost a year ago covers the house and very large garden of a rural semi-detached house! The Buffalo lacks the ugly antennae of most routers, could this be where it's range problem lies? Personally I think so, aesthetics seem to have been taken over quality, shame as otherwise the router is fast and easy to use. Definitely not the best on the market and not worth the money, there are much better options within the price range! Summary: not worth the money! much better options available
