Advantages: Wireless, easy to set up
Disadvantages: Collapses under traffic
I brought this router a year ago when we got a broadband connection along with the d-link 300G ADSL Modem.
Every couple of days it would crash and have to be reset, this get extremely annoying. If we were to load up a p2p (peer-to-peer) program it would crash, even when connections to the p2p program was kept to the minimum. D-link support are useless and will not help at all.
the only good thing about this router is that it is wireless.
Summary: Poor router. Not recommended...

- 16/07/05 Yeah, the d-link customer support have Indian Accents which can be difficult to heard over the phone.
I would recommend the Draytek V2600 router. It's a very stable router and the customer support is much better. |

- 16/07/05 Doesn't sound good. I use a Belkin router, and I find their customer service excellent - not only is their telephone number freephone but they talk you through step by step what to do when you have a problem - only downside is I find their Indian accents slightly hard to understand at times, but they're patient enough with me when I ask them to repeat something for the 3rd time! I'd definitely recommend having a look into changing for a Belkin router - I've written an opinion on mine on dooyoo if you fancy having a read about it - it's never let me down and the only times I've needed to call the call centre are when setting it up. |
