I bought this NIC (network interface card) to go with my router the WAG54G about a year ago. The NIC was very easy to install just take it out of the box and follow the clear and simple instructions on the leaflet however that is were the instructions end. You are then on your own to install the software which is easy enough but if you have little experience it could confuse you very quickly. However when all the software is installed it is very easy to connect to the network, but it is a somewhat simplified interface and lacks the detail that advanced users need.
The NIC has some impressive features its boasts a good signal range which i have to agree is impressive. it's got wireless B and G support. And speed booster. However i think i would be worried about the compatibility with routers not made by linksys.
It's difficult to talk about reliability and speed because. You cannot be sure if it is the router or NIC at fault form what I have seen a reliable card though. Form my experience the linksys support is somewhat lacking.
WMP54GS is a reasonably priced NIC to get your wireless network started a definite for beginners but not for advanced users. Just one tip the software on the CD has been updated and can be downloaded form the linksys website.
