It also complies with IEEE802.3u, 100BASE-TX, and IEEE802.3, 10BASE-T standards for the embedded switch. With Auto-Negotiation function, the optimum connection mode (Full-Duplex or Half-Duplex) will be selected, and also the optimum connection speed (100Mbps or 10Mbps) will be automatically determined.

With built-in 4-port switch, the SP916B allow both wired and wireless workstations to access the Internet. Micronet SP916B can hide internal IP addresses from external networks, and prevent certain denial-of-service attacks from outside networks on internal hosts. It also provides advanced features to monitor the connection status and the traffic in your network. With the web-based management utility, users can navigate through the configuration with web browsers.

Micronet SP916B acts as a Media Access Control (MAC) bridge between wired Local Area Networks, and one or more wireless networks. Placed anywhere along an Ethernet LAN, it allows wireless stations within its area of coverage to access transparently to the corporate network. Micronet SP916B Wireless Broadband Router, together with Micronet Wireless LAN adapters, enable you to build a variety of network configurations. With the built-in antenna, the distance can be up to 250m in free space. User could also extend the distance by using Micronet high gain antenna.
